The region is undeniably attractive \u2014 sea, hills, historic town centers, gastronomy, postcard-worthy streets. At this stage, many agents would already be booking viewings. We don\u2019t \u2014 <em>we first ask the right questions, then build a strategy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Turning Point: Health and Terrain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the consultation, we learned the client had difficulty walking uphill and needed a flat seafront for daily walks. This was crucial: Liguria is one of Italy\u2019s most mountainous coastal regions. Beyond the first line, steep climbs and stairs are common; even on the seafront, essential services like hospitals or supermarkets are often located higher up. Scenic \u2014 yes. <em>Convenient for her needs \u2014 not always.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Rimini Became the Better Fit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We reframed the search around her real needs \u2014 sea access, flat promenade, accessible infrastructure. <strong>Rimini<\/strong> emerged as the stronger option:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Long, flat seafront for easy daily walks,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Longer tourist season compared to Liguria,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flat terrain in key areas with easy access to shops and healthcare,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wide choice of holiday and rental-friendly properties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>By focusing on Rimini, <em>we reduced the risk of \u201cbeautiful but impractical\u201d and increased the chances of a successful purchase on the first trip.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lessons for Foreign Buyers in Italy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Location = lifestyle.<\/strong>\u00a0A sea view is important, but so is the everyday route from home to the promenade and services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Terrain and accessibility matter.<\/strong>\u00a0Especially if mobility is limited or you want to walk more without physical strain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Test assumptions early.<\/strong>\u00a0Friends may recommend sincerely, but their lifestyle may not match yours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Buyer\u2019s agent role.<\/strong>\u00a0We don\u2019t just \u201csell pretty facades\u201d \u2014 we design a place to live by matching budget, terrain, transport, seasonality, rental, and resale prospects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next Steps in the Search<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re now conducting a targeted search in Rimini under these criteria and preparing a shortlist for an efficient on-site visit \u2014 without unnecessary region-hopping.
